sisters

playdate

So... we all know playdates are not for the kids, but a way for mommies to get together and socialize. Clearly, Anabelle at 2 weeks old was not much fun. But, I love that I can have some time to get together and hang out with some of the girls. Emmie was at school this day. I am not sure how she would do around all the little ones. She is getting so big and I would hate to be banned from the playdates right off the bat for biting or hitting :)

Anabelle (on the bottom) clearly hating every moment of this. Mary Julia (7 weeks-at top) having fun in the jungle gym, and Jack (almost 7 months- right) not sure what is going on
This one is a little better after a swaddle job

Our newest addition

I just wanted to post some cute pics of the first few weeks. This little girl is a doll, but a bit of a chunker. Eating is not a problem.

So new and tiny
Cute feet
I love bath time!
Snuggled up after bath time
Champ watching over Anabelle while mommy works in the kitchen
I thought the lighting in these was pretty awesome. I am tooting my own horn :)

4 years ago, July 22, 2006. I married my best friend. It was the best day ever. I wish I could relive it over and over again. I would also love the chance to wear my wedding dress again, just for fun. I don't know that I will ever be at my wedding weight again though :)
On our honeymoon in Hawaii. We didn't want to leave. I would live there in a heartbeat. Again, we had the time of our lives.
Our first anniversary. We splurged and took a vacation to Mexico. El Dorado. It was awesome and I wish I was there now!

Our second anniversary was a bit more subdued. Here I am 6 months pregnant at the time.
Our 3rd anniversary, we headed to Barnsley Gardens. It is a awesome place to go. We had Emmie with us and she was sick. Later to find out she had a double ear infection. Needless to say, it wasn't the most relaxing of trips.

And, for our fourth we welcomed a new bundle of joy, Miss Anabelle. Thanks to Mimi we actually did get out for a dinner alone to Horseradish Grille (always a favorite). We enjoyed a great dinner and bottle of wine. It has been a while since we have had a real date together. It was awesome.
Our lives have changed so much in the past four years. I wouldn't change anything for the world!

holy moly

(I can't get her to take the paci and it is killing me. I am a true paci believer)

We went to have Anabelle reweighed a week after her initial doctor's visit. At her first visit she had not regained her birth weight, she was only 7 pounds. She wasn't the best eater for the first week. Needless to say we may have a heifer on our hands. In just 9 days she gained 1 pound and 11 ounces. Now tipping the scales at 8 pounds 11 ounces. Slow down sister! She is doing good so far. We have had some peaceful nights and some not so peaceful. We are definitely not in a routine yet, but working on it! She is real sweet, loves to be held and hasn't been beaten up yet by her big sister. I would call that success so far!

Anabelle after her doctor's visit. She even got her first sticker...

i scream you scream..

Emmie working up an appetite in this crazy summer heat (the only possible way to go outside is if we are in the pool, hose or sprinkler)....

And then, enjoying a summertime favorite. Vanilla (yogurt) "ice cream" cone! This is a dream come true for her and a favorite treat.

This is what summer is all about!

The many faces of a milk coma

No words needed. Gotta love it!

Welcome Home Anabelle

We had some good quiet time at the hospital. We didn't have as many visitors as last time, but it was nice to relax before coming home to dive into a routine, or attempt to atleast. We did have some special visitors while we were at Piedmont, besides our family.

Miss Chrissy and Miss Katie G (Katie works at Piedmont and made sure I was well taken care of)
Miss Brooke (who recently had Mary Julia who will be best friends with Emmie and Anabelle)
The Hinsons
Miss Trish (who is due to have Will in the next few weeks) and Miss Melissa (a newlywed)
Balloons
This is a wreath that Kyle Hinson made for us. How great is that?!
Daddy introducing Emmie and Anabelle
Family of four
Family of five
Emmie got some presents from Anabelle
A new tutu!
Uncle John came to visit and meet his new neice
Nana and Anabelle
Mimi and Papa
Papa attempting to get Emmie to pay attention to Anabelle, but it wasn't happening
The Manns, including Thatcher came by to meet their new friend.
Miss Andrea brought Mommy and Daddy a fabulous chocolate cake.
The Kirley Family, minus Uncle Tim. He was sitting on the couch.
Anabelle and her cousins, Connor, McCay, and Noelle
Cousins brought Emmie a new backpack and Elmo books! She loves them.
Miss Nicole brought Emmie the new Big sister hat. Also a favorite.

Anabelle is so lucky to have such a wonderful family and group of friends already. Thanks to all for your support and helping hands. We are thankful for you all!
