Music class
We have started music class again. I never take my camera as I am usually dealing with holding Anabelle and Emmie. Check out this link to Kyle' website. She captured the first day. Pictures are just too cute.

Sacked out
I am starting to get a great workout pushing these two around the neighborhood. There is no way around it... double strollers are not light. They bigger these two get the heavier it gets. The first time I walked/ran with it I thought I was going to die. Second time was a touch better, but I was still huffing and puffing. This was after our walk/run on Sunday. Sacked out!
New Bulldog fan
Well, she may have been born into a Bulldog household but it isn't the best year to start being a fan. She has no choice. We will still force her to like them, even if they aren't having the best season.
GO DAWGS!

am I really seeing this?
big sister wants someone to play with
Playgroup
We met our friends for another playgroup. This time Emmie made an appearance and stole the show. She loved all the little babies. Someday their age won't make so much of a difference and they will actually get to play together.
Anabelle just chillin'
Mary Julia there in the bottom left corner, she just turned over for the first time this week! Very exciting for her and her mommy, Brooke! And Jack is yet again surrounded by girls :)
Emmie can actually still fit into the Bumbo chair. She is such a squirt!

Emmie trying to help put Anabelle's paci back in her mouth. That is why there is a blur. I was trying to rush over and prevent it from happening. I try to keep the dirty little hands out of the baby's mouth or face. Good luck!

2 months old
OMG! I can't believe Anabelle is 2 months old. I feel like she has been here for 6 months. It has been a trying month for sure. Emmie adjusted well the first month, but not so well the second month. I have a feeling jealousy, along with her age (20 months) is playing a large roll. Emmie has become a bit more aggressive and has been to many time outs because of this. She is learning to say "I am sorry" real well. She has picked up a few key phrases that has made her mommy feel real sad. Something along the lines of "Bad mommy". I felt awful at first, but then she started with "Bad daddy", "Bad Anabelle", "Bad Champ", "Bad blanket", "Bad Elmo" and so on. It tends to come out when we do something she doesn't care for. I am trying to be patient, but it is so hard. I try to remember that this to shall pass. It's a stage and the new addition of a baby sister probably isn't making matters any better. Anabelle is surviving and so is Emmie. Sometimes that is all I can ask for at the end of the day.
Can you stand that double chin! Too much!
Anabelle is just taking a back seat and enjoying the ride. She tags along to gymnastics class. She comes to music class and has been more active there. She hasn't wanted to nap through it and instead, sings and dances with Emmie and mommy. She is pretty much sleeping through the night. This is in part due to her big tummy! They say bigger babies sleep better.... She isn't restricted to any schedule as we need to be a little bit more 'go-with-the-flow' this time around. She doesn't seem to mind and she pretty much calls the shots. She started talking to us a week or 2 ago and it is the sweetest thing I have heard. When we have a bad day around here and she shoots me a smile or coo at the end of the day... I feel all better :) She is a tuna alright! A true butter bean. Rolls galore! But so dang cute. It is funny. She didn't really have eyelashes at first and now they are real long. It is like they grew in over night. Poor girl had to get tons of shots today. It was a rough one. She had a super fussy day and I don't blame her. The doctor loved her meaty little legs though. Gave her a clean bill of health until November. Luckily she won't be joining the day care scene during this flu season (I am temporarily "retired", another story for another day, but if anyone knows of someone who needs a part-time Nurse practitioner for normal hours, no holidays or weekends- let me know :)). I have no doubt that big sissy will be sharing her little germs with her though. Reason enough for the rest of us to get flu shots to protect our Belley-Boo (FYI. you can't get flu shots until you are 6 months old).
The stats: weight 13 pounds, height 23 inches (Emmie didn't even weigh 12 pounds by 3 months, but she was and still is a super squirt!)
Not only d o I love the socks, but the way her legs are positioned too! Ha!
This is funny to me because this is what happens when you are trying to take pictures by yourself of a baby with little to no support!

A BIG day
Well, August 29th marked a BIG day at the Nichols household and especially for Emmie girl. My baby moved to a big girl bed! Yikes! I can't even believe it. We were trying to make a smooth transition as Anabelle is quickly outgrowing her bassinet and needs the crib. With the help of some side rails the transition has been great. Emmie loves her new bed. She can have just about every single animal, baby doll and blanket in there with her. We made an occasion of it and she felt real special.
Sometimes it takes me a minute to find her in the bed because she is hiding behind all of her "friends". She is too funny!

Where's ELMO?
Hide n' seek is a favorite game here at the Nichols house. Well, when bedtime came and I was looking for Elmo I couldn't find him. On my way to bed I found Brent's work boot in the middle of the bedroom floor and this was inside. That Elmo... he is sooooo sneeky!
