Easter weekend was great. We spent the time in Commerce with Brent's family. On Saturday the Simmons (Jay Bird's family) had a Easter party for all the families with kids. Jay's brother in law Mike even dressed up as the Easter bunny. Emmie did participate in the egg hunt with her cuz- Mateo. Santi carried her around while Mateo looked for eggs. Sunday was beautiful and Emmie looked super cute in her first Easter dress. Brent made me return her first Easter dress because it was "too expensive". It has only just begun, but don't tell him that. The only bad part was that Emmie didn't feel very good. She had developed a terrible cough on Friday and it has carried on over the weekend. During the sermon in church she cough/gagged so loud! The 2 or 3 pews in front of me turned around like I had done something to her. She freaked me out. I may have even said a cuss word in church. I will have to pray for that one. Everyone in Commerce loved meeting her. She was a hit. After church we came home and celebrated Ashley's birthday with a wonderful lunch. We watched the Master's and headed home. Long weekend, but it was a good one.
