Egg Hunt

We made it to the Fannie and Friends Egg Hunt this year and the girls had a blast. Emmie got a little bit of a head start finding eggs, but left some for the others to find.

And she is off...

Sooooo many. Can't fit any more in my hands!
Counting her stash
Amazing that she let Jack touch her eggs.
2010 Babies (Mary Julia, Jack, and Anabelle)
Emmie shared one with her little sister
Done. Basket is heavy.

And since I need to post some pictures from Easter....

Not off to a good start as you can tell by Emmie covering her ears from Anabelle's crying
But they rallied for a couple quick decent picks

Emmie's dance

I picked Emmie up from ballet today and when we got home she said she had a "special dance" for Mommy and Daddy. (She is prepping for her May recital).

I love that she is munching on her goldfish. I love that when she twirls she says "I'm bizzy" (in other words "I'm dizzy". I love that we are dancing to Miley Cyrus. I love what I am capable of doing with my new iphone. And... I love watching Anabelle in the background too!

And just to top it off, I would like to share a picture of my crew on our afternoon stroll today!

9 months

Well, I am a little late on this. Anabelle had her 9 month visit last week. My little hamhock is 20 pounds (75th percentile- downa little bit) and 27 inches (50th percentile). It is always around the 9 month visit when the weight slows down. They start moving and are burning many more calories. Which also means they get hungrier.

Anabelle is crawling- full blown. And she is quick. Emmie calls her into her room and she goes flying in. When Brent gets home she charges him from wherever she is in the house. She pulls up on everything and is walking while pushing her toys. I guess it won't be long. You can tell she just wants to chase after Emmie. I put her in shoes sometimes, but most of the time I keep her barefoot. She can fit into Emmie's spring shoes from last year. She is close to a size 3.

She only has 2 teeth- on the bottom. Everything is in her mouth constantly and I am just waiting for 2 more to pop through.
She eats it all. I am starting to feed her things Emmie is eating. She has had some mac n cheese, grilled cheese, chicken, fish, veggies, fruits, rice cakes, and cinnamon/raisin toast. She is doing great. She is getting better with the sippy cup, but not a total fan quite yet.

She goes to bed a little later, 7 or 730p. She has pulled an 8 o'clock here and there, but she is not happy about it. She is still loving the paci. For now...

She is super sensitive and is learning to work the system. Now I will give her this, Emmie is pretty rough. She doesn't intentionally beat her up (atleast not as often), but she plays rough. She wants to ride on Anabelle's back while she crawls, pats her head so hard it is technically hitting her, still wanting to feed her as if she was her baby. But, Emmie loves her. She is the first person she wants to see in the morning and doesn't want her to go to bed at night. Awwww, sister love....

Spring has Sprung

Spring fever! We are finally able to get out of the house on a regular basis and loving it! Park, walks, patio... Life is so much easier when you can get the kids outside.

Teeter-totter with a chocolate chip cookie. Mmmm....

A little OCD?
We hit up the aquarium for the first time one rainy Saturday. They LOVED it!

Anabelle got a little sleepy
My Costco find. Sand/water table for $24.99. Keeps Emmie entertained for hours!!! And how cute is the mini umbrella?

My crew on an afternoon stroll. Tutu was on for hours!
This is our new afternoon adventure. When Brent gets home he gets a workout on his bike, the girls get to go for a ride, and I get a moment of peace.
Anabelle playing with her friend Mary Julia. They are just 6 weeks apart.
Having a great time so far. Spring will be busy around here. Easter, birthdays, dance recitals. Stay tuned...

Spring Break 2011

We picked up at the last minute and headed to St George Island for Spring Break with the cousins. Daddy had to stay home to work, but the girls and I enjoyed our time. It was tough handling the two tornados without Daddy, but there were many extra hands to help.
On our way down we stopped to break up the trip. We slept in the same room with Mimi and Papa. It was terrible. Anabelle took forever to go down. I don't think she liked the foreigness of the hotel room. Emmie had multiple night terrors (something new we are dealing with) and of course woke Anabelle up in the process. I remember waking up around 12am wishing it was time to pack up and go already.
We finally made it there, unpacked, hit the beach, and never left until the end of the trip.

Loungin'

I mean... she is the cutest. It is hard to believe she gives me such a hard time sometimes.

Sisters

Thankfully, I made an executive decision to leave Friday night. I kept Emmie up playing and swimming all day. She was exhausted as was Anabelle. So at 630pm we packed up and headed out. It is always hard at the end of vacations. You don't want it to be over, yet you want to get home. We hadn't seen daddy in 2 weeks so that was more motivation. The girls slept the entire way home! It was great. I made it home in 6.5 hours without any whining or crying. It was totally worth it.
