Well, in less than 4 days we will go from a family of three (well, four including Champ) to a family of four (five including Champ Champ). I feel like I have had to give Emmie extra love lately, since I will have to start sharing my time. I love to rock her before bedtime (when she lets me- she is obsessed with Daddy still and always wants him to do it lately). I love playing with her outside, even if I look like a redneck sitting in her pool, pregnant and in a bikini- no pictures added of this! We eat popsicles, go on walks and have breakfast at J Cristopher's together. Things aren't changing for the worst. I know it will only be better, but it is just hard to imagine.

I just love this one

Emmie had her 18 month appointment- just a few days early. She was a whopping 22 pounds and 31.25 inches. Still a shrimp, but a cute one. She is definitely not a fan of the doctor yet. She is still a very picky eater. She hates veggies- and used to eat anything that was in front of her, loves yogurt, fruit (any), pancakes and cereal. She hates eggs and will clearly tell you "I don't like it" of she puts something in her mouth she doesn't want. She will say "I help you" when she wants to do something herself. She loves to put on shoes and socks. She loves the pool and playing in the sprinkler. She loves bubbles and drawing with sidewalk chalk. We spend most of our time outside when it isn't raining or sweltering heat. She walks on her tiptoes a lot lately for whatever reason and is learning to run, which may be the funniest thing I have ever seen! She is into blocks, holding hands and dances to Hannah Montana- wait maybe this is the funniest thing I have ever seen. She says everything and can count to ten (pretty much). She is growing up so fast. This is Emmie in a nutshell.

Her last day of school was Friday. I cried, Miss Barbara cried and Emmie just thought we were crazy. She was sweet though and gave everyone hugs and kisses. We start her new school next week. We had a play date there last week and I cried. I even stayed with her. I just am not big on change. I will keep you posted on to how it goes, but it's like starting all over and if you read this blog about a year ago you know it didn't go well...
As for me... I am uncomfortable. I don't sleep. I am pretty much hungry all the time. Brent has about 1/4 of the bed. Neither of us can wait for a day when we can actually have space for a king sized bed. Luckily, I am really not that bad off. I will be induced Wednesday if I don't go into labor sooner, which we know won't happen :) I have to think, when I was pregnant with Emmie at this time I was pregnant for 3 more weeks. Amazing. I couldn't do it now. It is just too hot out to be pregnant any longer.
39 weeks!

So here is to summer and to the Nichols Clan getting bigger! Exciting, nerve racking, anxious, and ready! Stay posted...
