Cousins

Mateo got baptized today. It is such a big deal and so exciting. Brent is his godfather and Santi's sister is he godmother. What a blessing!

How cute is this?

But wait, this may be cuter. Is that a word? These two love each other and love playing together. What a sweet pic of these cousins. I only wish Anabelle could be in there.

Have you ever seen cheeks like these

I could just eat her up, she is so dang cute! I mean what is she hiding in those things!

We have a gymnast on our hands!

Emmie has started gymnastics class. And she loves it. I guess she will follow in her daddy's footsteps. If you don't know that story, it is just too long to tell. But hilarious. I will save it for another day :)
Rad like Dad
Trying out the beam. Ps. excuse the photography as I was chasing after Emmie and keeping Anabelle happy by carrying her car seat everywhere. It was tough and I could only capture what I could.
Loving the beam. This one is a bit higher.
Are we seeing a pattern?
Front and center. Teacher's pet
I can't wait for next week. Looks like we found a winner!

Swing city

The Champster. He always wants to play outside, until he realizes it is 104 degrees then he is waiting by the door to go inside. This summer heat is brutal!
Hey pretty!
Playing in the jungle. This is where I have to keep a close eye on her. Big sister usually comes by and tries to step on her. So a bodyguard is needed.
I had to make an investment. I had to have something else to help with Anabelle's need for being held. Swing one worked well. I had already ordered a swing on the internet, but had to have one in the meantime. Hence, swing one and two. Both work perfectly!
Swing one
Swing two
Emmie likes to play with Champ. She is setting out plates for him in this picture. Go figure. I know she can't wait until Anabelle can play with her.

1 month old, 19 months old

We had a great night last night. Anabelle made 2- 5 hour stretches between feedings. This makes for some rest for mommy and daddy (especially mommy!). She loves being held. This is hard when you are trying to run around with a 19 month old. But apparently she is still too little to be spoiled :) Anabelle gets stronger everyday. She is turning her head side to side nonstop and holds her head up straight off the shoulder for awhile. She started to smile for me this week and makes some sweet coos as well as some rough grunts.

Anabelle at 1 month old- loving the rolls and no neck!
This is how we had been spending many of our nights. Watching the Braves and attempting to get Anabelle to sleep. We inherited a rocking chair from Mama Foster- Brent's great grandma. Our glider is in Emmie's room. When she is sleeping we needed a backup.

Preppy look
She hates this bouncer. I can barely get her to stay in it. But every once in awhile she will relax for a few minutes.
Emmie on the other hand. Still very picky with eating. She no longer likes mac and cheese. She loves juice boxes- she only gets at special times. She loves her sister and calls her A-belle. She talks NONSTOP. There are sometimes when I just need to tell her to take a breath. She will repeat anything and her vocabulary is so clear. She likes her new school, but is having a hard time with separation anxiety and is hysterical each morning I drop her off. They tell me it doesn't last long.

Being a booger at the lake
Pretty girl in a life jacket
Making funny faces
We are making it day by day. Having two is so different than one, a huge challenge. I feel like I am starting to get the hang of it, but we will see...

Hey Sister!

I love the progression of these pictures. It looks like Emmie and Anabelle playing and then you will notice Emmie puts her elbow into Anabelle's face. We are working on soft touches. Emmie is only supposed to touch her toes or kiss her on the back of the head. Emmie is a quick little thing and sometimes before you know it she is stepping on her sister or swatting her. Word to the wise- never leave a toddler alone with a baby!

Do you think Anabelle likes it when Emmie decides to point to her body parts?

All about Champ

This is the craziness that Champ deals with on a daily basis- a half naked wild toddler and a crying baby. Most of the time his eyes read "get me out of here!" He is super sweet to his sisters and couldn't be better around them.

And then Emmie decides Champ is his play toy. Here she is taking all the magnets off of Mimi's refrigerator and stuffing them underneath Champ. I am not sure why, but this is her kind of pretend play.
You can make out what he is thinking here :)
Well, this isn't about Champ. Just wanted to update that Emmie is still obsessed with her backpack and loves to wear it everywhere. She even wore it to school the other day.
Notice how she has the keys in her hand and ready to "go-go".
Bless this dog. We started out as a family of three. I used to spend all my time at night just petting him. He has definitely taken a back seat, but no less loved. Emmie loves him and Anabelle will someday too! It has been a rough summer for the old guy, but he is still a puppy at heart.
